Mary Ellen Pyanowski, 81, of Nova, died Monday, November 9, 2009 at Kingston of Ashland. Daughter of the late William and Stella Caldwell, Mary was born October 23, 1928 in Portsmouth and lived there for many years. She later moved to Sullivan and in 1965 finally settled to Nova at the family farm. Alongside her husband, Mary spent several years farming. First and foremost, Mary was a homemaker. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She leaves behind her four children, Vickie Lee (Jeff) Hickinbotham of Baltimore, MD, Anthony J. (Terri) Pyanowski of Norwalk, Becky Sue Huff of Ashland, and Dianne (Andy) Kahrer of The Villages, FL; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Evelyn) Caldwell of Norwalk. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony in 2008; infant son, Dwain Coble; daughter, Cathy Coble; a sister, Virginia Mitchell and two brothers, Carl Caldwell and William Caldwell, Jr. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 12 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Friends will also be received Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service.
