Mary L. Senter, 78, of Greenwich, Ohio, died on Friday, May 16, 2025 at home with her family by her side. Mary was born on March 14, 1947 in Norwalk, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late John W. and Orpha (Wisecup) Deppen.
Mary attended New London High School until her senior year, when they moved to Attica. She graduated from Attica High School in 1965. Mary started her working career at Ideal Laundry in Willard as a white shirt girl on a press, before going to Pioneer Rubber where she remained for 8 years. Finishing out her working years, she was a housekeeper with Hillside Acres Nursing Home for another eight years. Mary loved her family, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed flower gardens, baking, cooking, crochet, camping and fishing.
Mary was married to the late Larry E Senter Sr. for 42 years, she made their home in Plymouth, Willard and settled in Greenwich.
She is survived by her children, April (John) Gies of Plymouth, Larry Senter Jr of Sandusky, and Connie Senter of Greenwich; grandchildren, Alexzandra (Bob) West of Plymouth, Daren Gies of Plymouth, Alayna (Michael) Holtzapfel of Lima, and Brayden Senter of Willard; three great-grandchildren; sisters Doris (Burt) Bolen and Janet Lacey, and many nieces and nephews .
In addition to her husband, Larry, Mary was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angel Marie Senter, brothers, James Deppen and John R. Deppen, sister Helen Hilderbrand, and brother-in-laws Russel Lacey and Gordon Hilderbrand.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main Street, Greenwich, Ohio 44837; where her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Grimm officiating. Interment will follow services on Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery.
