Mary Margaret "Peg" Sheldon, 73, of Wellington, died Saturday, May 04, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 11, 1939 in Wellington to the late William and Margaret (nee Kihm) Poiner. Peg was a life long Wellington resident and a 1957 graduate of Wellington High School.
Peg was a book keeper for many years and worked for the Wellington hospital, Amherst Hospital, and Welcome Nursing Home. She also sold Avon products and retired from that this past year. She served as a 4-H advisor when her children where growing up and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Wellington. Peg enjoyed passing the time reading and working on puzzles. She also liked to sing.
Peg is survived by her loving husband of nearly 46 years, William "Ray" Sheldon, Children Mark (Judy) Sheldon, of Wellington, Cindy (Jerry) Gueth of Reynoldsburg, Margaret Sheldon of Sheffield Village, and T.J. (Kerry) Sheldon of Avon, 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, she is also survived by her siblings William Poiner, Jean Jerousek, and John Poiner all of Wellington. Peg was preceded in death by her son Raymond as well as siblings Richard Poiner, Theresa Manning, Barbara, Carolyn, and Robert Poiner.
Friends and family will gather on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 for a memorial service at Bethany Lutheran Church, 231 East Hamilton St., Wellington, beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dale Heulsman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the American Cancer Society at 20470 Lorain Rd., Cleveland, 44106, or to Bethany Lutheran Church.
