Eastman Funeral Home 419-929-3781 Mary Jane Sloan, 84, of Greenwich, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Crestwood Care Nursing Home, Shelby. She was born January 20, 1930 in Sandusky, daughter of the late Lester Carl Neiding and Grace (Dyke) Neiding Day. She lived in New Castle, Pennsylvania for several years then moved to Vermilion, Ohio in November of 1943. She was a 1947 graduate of Vermilion High School. Mrs. Sloan worked at the Sanit-All Products Corp. in Greenwich from 1948-1954 as a secretary and was the office manager and corporate secretary for Central Plastics Company in Greenwich from 1966-1997. She was a member of the Greenwich United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the fellowship of the Ripley Church in Greenwich. She was also a member of the Greenwich Ladies Historical Society for over 50 years. Survivors include her son, Christopher Mark Sloan of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; her daughter, Jennifer Ann (Robert) Grose of Willard; 3 grandchildren, Tricia Marie (Jason) Bowles, Bradley Robert (Stacia) Grose and Megan Ashley Grose; 3 great grandchildren, Huxley Lleyton Grose, Graylie London Grose and Truitt Todd Grose; brother, James A. (Marie) Day of Winchester, TN and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret L. "Peggy" Grant. Friends may call from 3 - 5 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Ripley Church, 4130 South Edwards Rd. Greenwich where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, with Pastor Eric Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights, Ohio.
