Mary Elizabeth (Pheiffer) Stieber, 90, of Norwalk, Ohio, died peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2021. She was born on December 28, 1930 to the late Helen and Alfred Pheiffer.

A lifelong resident of the Norwalk and Monroeville area, Mary graduated from Monroeville High School in 1948. She married the love of her life, Bill Stieber, in 1954 at St. Alphonsus Church in Norwalk, where she was a lifetime member. Mary worked for Stokley's Van Camp Company for over 20 years until their closing in 1988, and she worked as a Deputy Clerk at the Huron County Clerk of Common Pleas Court until her retirement in 1995.

In her retirement, Mary enjoyed working in her flower beds, watching game shows, and working in word find books.

She is survived by her son, John (Jeanne) Stieber; grandson, Anthony (Emily Lewis) Stieber; sisters, Dorothy (Phil) Street, Jane (Kenny) Schreiner, and Susan (Brian Clouse) Eberly; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Wilfrid "Bill" Stieber; sister, Anne Stieber; grandparents, John and Emma (Ott) Pheiffer, and Alphonse and Flora (Metz) Bachle; and several aunts and uncles.

Her funeral mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk, Ohio 44857 on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow. Guests are required to wear a mask while inside the church and are reminded to follow all social distancing and mass gathering guidelines. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Alphonsus Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
