Mary Lou Patton, 92, of Nova, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at the Brethren Care Village following a brief illness.  She was born on August 25, 1931 in Ashland, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Vera (Scott) Vermillion.

Mary Lou was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Ashland.  She previously volunteered for the Tri County Christian School and North Central Hospice.  She married Robert Patton on April 16, 1955.  In their retirement years, they purchased a small farm in Nova and established many good and lasting friendships.  Mary Lou enjoyed living on "the farm", especially when their grandchildren were there.

Mary Lou is survived by her children, Bonnie Snyder and Roger Patton; 6 grandchildren, Chris (Amy) Wells, Rebekah (Jeremy) Elerick, Robert (Megan) Wells, Caitlin Korir, Rodney Patton and Ronnie Patton; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and 3 sisters-in-law.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; step-mother, Kathryn Vermillion; sister, Betty Jane Elberts; brothers, David Vermillion and Virgil Jackenheimer; step-sister, Pat Tracey and son-in-law, Norman Snyder, Jr.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W Main St. New London; where her funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Nova Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Calvary Baptist Church, 210 Davis Rd, Ashland, OH 44805.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
