Mary Catherine Waite, 91, of Wellington, died Friday, February 7, 2014 at Welcome Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was born on December 14, 1922 in Louisville KY to the late Emil and Grace (nee Corum) Rautenbusch. Mary came to the Wellington area in the late 40s with her husband. Mary was an active member of the Pittsfield Community Church and the Church Women's Fellowship. She was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother who enjoyed preparing Sunday dinners and getting together with family. Mary also cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Mary is survived by her children, Michael Waite of LaGrange, Rita (Buck) Youngless, Christine (Jeff) Park, and Arlene Waite all of Wellington; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and siblings Dolores and Pete Rautenbusch, both of Louisville. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Willard and her children Joe, John, Connie, and Ken. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, February 11, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. at the Pittsfield Community Church, 17026 State Route 58, Wellington, 44090 with Rev. Jonathan Cheatem officiating. Burial will follow at Pittsfield South Cemetery. Donations in Mary's memory may be directed to the Pittsfield Community Church.
