Obituary

Mary J. 'Gina' Wine, age 66, of Sullivan, died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at her home after several months of illness. She was born June 10, 1941 in Shinnston, WV, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Perri) DeMarco. She was raised in Shinnston, WV and had lived in Sullivan for the past 41 years. Mrs. Wine graduated from Shinnston High School. She was a cook and retired as a food supervisor at Black River Schools in 2003. Most recently, she worked at Curves in Wellington. Mrs. Wine was a member of the First Congregational Church of Sullivan and served as deaconess for many years. She was involved in the Women's Fellowship, the Choir and as a Social Committee Member at the church. Survivors include her three children, Brenda (Charles M.) Tener, James R. (Debra) Wine, Jr., and Timothy F. (Sandy Y.) all of Sullivan, 6 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and 3 great grandsons. Mrs. Wine is also survived by a brother, Sam DeMarco of Shinnston, and three sisters, Catherine Bowling and Sarah Rose both of Shinnston and Ann Zurick of Baltimore, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, James R. Wine, Sr., a granddaughter, Carly Renee Wine, and 13 brothers and sisters. Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday, July 31 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Friends may also call from 10am until time of funeral services at 11 am Wednesday at the First Congregational Church of Sullivan with Rev. William Reyes officiating. Burial will follow at Sullivan South View Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be given to the First Congregational Church of Sullivan, 503 U.S. Rt. 224, Sullivan, OH 44880 or to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1605 Ashland County Road, Ashland, OH 44805.
