Matthew "Sage" James Hale Sr., 63, of Greenwich, Ohio, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 26, 2021. He was born on August 23, 1958 to the late Mary (Whitcher) and Joe Hale.

In his younger years, Sage could be found fishing and working on his Camaro. He enjoyed farming, deer hunting, and playing darts.

He is survived by his children, Matthew (LeAnna) Hale Jr., Douglas Hale, Regina Hale; grandchildren, Torie, Alex, Tracey, Vada, Lucy, Darleene, Logan, Jayde, and Landyn; and siblings, Melvin Hale, Diana (Tom) Oney, Rita (Bernie) Gayheart, and Paula (Leo) Brousseau.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosemary Hale, Alan Hale, Rodney Hale, and Robert Hale.
