Matthew "Matt" Braddock

Matthew (Matt) Braddock of Port Clinton, Ohio went to be with the Lord at the age of 66 on April 21, 2026 after a sudden serious illness. Matt was born December 7, 1959. Matt is survived by brothers Curt (Trish) Braddock of Byrdstown, TN, Bruce (Patty) Braddock of Milan, OH, sister Barbara Braddock of Horseheads, NY, and sister-in-law Carolyn Braddock of Norwalk, OH. Matt was predeceased by parents Edward and Gladys Braddock, and brother William Braddock.

Matt graduated in 1976 from Edison High School in Milan, OH. Matt worked many years at Republic Services, retiring in 2022. Matt is lovingly remembered by nieces Jenny (Mathew) Faulkner, Julie (Nathan) Kuhl, nephews Scott (Summer) Braddock, Erik, and Clint Braddock, and great niece (Sydney); also great nephews (Colton, Cade, Carson, Brock, Cal, Logan, James, and Dixie), and cousins and friends.

Matt loved to fish in various ponds and in the Huron River. Matt is also known for telling tales of scary ghost stories with his dear nieces and nephews around a bonfire. Matt was quite a sports enthusiast. He could tell you each NFL Super Bowl winner and scores for each game plus all the golf Masters’ winners from 1972 onward. He enjoyed TV, with many favorite movies and shows. We all enjoyed gathering together with Matt for holidays and cookouts when we could.

The family is planning a private celebration of life for Matt in the near future.
