'Maxine Dalton, age 71, of Greenwich died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at her home after a short illness.'' She was born March 14, 1937 in Letcher County, Kentucky.''' She had lived in Norwalk for several years and in Greenwich since 2002.'' Mrs. Dalton had worked at Gaymont Nursing Center and Twilight Gardens Nursing Home both of Norwalk for several years. 'She is survived by her children, Elena (Reynaldo) Zarate of Greenwich, Paul M. (Barb) Cherry and Kenneth W. (Laynee) Cherry all of North Fairfield, Dorla (Larry) Risch of Oak Harbor and Jerralayne Zidarin of Norwalk; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bill Tom Mann and Danny Mann both of Alvarado, Texas; her former husband, Paul W. Cherry of Ripley, West Virginia.'' She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Dalton, her mother, Ada (Joseph) Mann, her father, Arlie Boggs. 'A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August, 26, 2008 at the Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Paul T. Cherry officiating. Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich were in charge of arrangements.
