Plymouth, Ohio - Mellisa J. Moffett, 47, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 22, 2018, at home, from cancer, she was surrounded by her family. "Our Loss, Heaven's Gain". She was born on June 22, 1971, in Willard, Ohio and was a lifelong area resident. Mel was employed at Midwest Industries, in Willard, Ohio, her beautiful smile and her fun, free spirit will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Her delights in life were her grandchildren, and all of her energy went into spending quality time with them. Her family meant everything to her. Mel was a dedicated worker, she gave her all; to any task at hand. Mel enjoyed acrylic coloring, crocheting, Steven King books and movies, she loved music and was an excellent singer. She also collected dragons. She had a great relationship with her step father, who was her champion, and guiding light in life. She is survived by her husband, Terry Moffett, of Plymouth, Ohio, by her children, Christopher Hampton, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, and Jessica Hampton, of Willard, Ohio, by her mother and step father, Pamela A. Kelly and Samuel Kelly, of Willard. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Brandon, Leah, Noah, Isaiah, and Madison, by special friends, Rob and Tammy Chandler, and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mel was preceded in death by her brother Eric James Reese, by her father, John W Reese Jr., by her grandmother, Marilyn A. Sparks, by her niece, Amy Smith, and her uncles, Richard Sparks and Rick Hedeen. There will be no visitation and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
