Melvin "Moe" Dewayne Peterson, 52, of Norwalk, died unexpectedly on July 27, 2021. Born in Pontiac, Michigan on March 13, 1969, he was the son of the late Dewayne and Marilyn (nee Vinyard) Peterson.  Melvin loved fishing, listening to music, and motorcycles. He was a Raiders football fan and his favorite color was purple. Melvin will be remembered for his many tattoos, his great sense of humor and for the fact that he only wore a shirt when he was made to.

He is survived by his loving children, Jesse Peterson, Kyle Peterson, Zachary Peterson, and Devin (Bree) Miller, all of Norwalk and Caleb Peterson, of Toledo; several grandchildren; sister, Julie (Karla) Peterson, of Norwalk and numerous nieces and nephews. Melvin was in a long-term relationship with Kristina Lynn Maynard. Co-raising Ry-Ry, her great nephew as his own brought him great joy. He loved her daughters, Jackie and Bri as if they were his own daughters. In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca and his brother, Rayme.
