Merrill E. 'Bud' Teats, 80, of Greenwich, died Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Willard Healthcare Center. Born on April 21, 1931, in Harborcreek, PA, he lived several years in Akron and moved to Greenwich in the 1940's. He graduated in 1949 from Greenwich High School. Bud drove truck for Wikel Bulk Express of Huron for 46 years, where he retired in 1996. Bud was a charter member of LifePoint Community Church in Plymouth. He enjoyed golfing, football, basketball and baseball. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lois I. (Miller); children, Rebecca (Jack) Altman of Lexington, Merrill 'Buddy' (Lori) Teats of Tiro and Renee (Rick) Warner of Norwalk; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and sister, Barbara Minnick of Beckley, WV. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill and Mildred (Mellott) Teats; son, Randy Teats; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich where a service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday with Pastor Rich Hurles officiating.
