Michael E. Brewer, a Wellington resident known to most as "Mike," died peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center in Lorain, with his son by his side.

On June 28, 1946, Mike was born to Edward and Kathleen (nee Campbell) Brewer in Oberlin. Mike proudly served in country in the United States Army, and later became a member of the VFW. For 34 years, Mike worked as a machinist at Lear Romec (Crane Aerospace) in Elyria.  He was proud to belong the machinist union and was known for his hard work ethic.

Mike was a huge fan of car racing, especially NASCAR.  He had a passion for classic cars – talking about them all the time and even restoring some in his youth.  Mike also was a big sports fan, always cheering on his local Cleveland teams and eventually sharing in his son's love of Ohio State football.

He is survived by his beloved son, Troy Brewer, of Wellington.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Patrick.
