Eastman Funeral Home 419-929-3781 Michael David Jackson, 66, of Ashland, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family, on December 23, 2017. He was born on July 31, 1951 in Kewanee, Illinois, to Noel and Carol Peterson Jackson. A 1969 graduate of Buda High School (Buda, IL), he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at St. Edwards University (Austin, TX) in 1981, and a Masters in Clinical Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2013. He was employed by the Internal Revenue Service, the National Parks Service, and was also self-employed. He served his country for eight years in the United States Navy. Michael is survived by his wife of 21 years, Linda (Collins) Jackson; five children: Rebecca, David, Joshua (Anna) and Jessica (Jerry), all of Austin, Texas, and Sarah (Jay) Pryor of Ashland; two step-children: Sean Ebert and Lance (Heidi) Ebert of Ashland; six grandchildren, and his mother, two sisters and one brother, all of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his father, Noel, in 1975. The family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich OH 44837. A private burial service will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
