Michael Allen Mohler, 57, of Pittsfield, recently of Geneva, Ohio, died Saturday, November 16, 2013. The son of Mary Louise (nee Brandt) and Robert Mohler, Michael was born in Vallejo, California on June 10, 1956. He spent most of his life in Pittsfield and Oberlin. Michael was a 1975 graduate of Wellington High School. He was at one time employed by the Oberlin College Kitchen and BFI Resource Recovery. Michael also participated in a work study with Murray Ridge and spent time helping on the family farm. He was a member of the Pittsfield Community Church and enjoyed spending time bowling, watching movies, and fishing. Michael is survived by his father, Robert Mohler; siblings, William (Annette) Mohler of Pittsfield and Barb (Eric) Tallan of Fairbanks, Alaska; and nieces and nephews, Christopher, Cassandra, Hannah, and Joe. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise (nee Brandt) Mohler. Visitation will be held at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, on Tuesday, November 19 from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service. Burial will follow at Pittsfield East Cemetery.
