Michael Scott Poth, 34, of Greenwich, died Monday, December 13, 2010 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo from an auto accident. He was born on May 19, 1976 in Willard. Michael was a life long resident of Greenwich and graduated from South Central High School in 1994. He worked a short time at Greenwich Mold and worked for MTD in Willard since November of 1994. Michael was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenwich. He enjoyed dirt bike riding, racing and photography. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Vanderpool); son, Tyler Poth; parents, Arnold and Kathy Poth of Greenwich; mother and father-in-law, John and Sherry Vanderpool of Greenwich; siblings, Elizabeth (Robert) Osborn of Greenwich, Rebecca (Kyle) Morris of Crestline, Kevin (Candace) Poth of Greenwich, Jared Poth of Greenwich and Jeani (Billy) Bishoff of Flordia; sister-in-law, Sherry Vanderpool of Greenwich and brother-in-laws, John (Monica) Vanderpool of Norwalk and Daniel (Kylee) Vanderpool of Wakeman. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Amos and Marie Handshoe and Ernest and Lucille Poth. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the First Baptist Church, 96 Townsend St., Greenwich with Pastor Gary Adkins and Pastor Bob Hudberg officiating. Burial will follow at Edwards Grove Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be given to the family in care of Eastman Funeral Home.
