Michael Allen Wendling, 75, passed away peacefully at his home on July 28, 2025. On October 23, 1949, he was born to parents Bernadette (nee Vaubel) and Roy Wendling. Mike grew up in Elyria and graduated from Elyria Catholic High School. Throughout his life he also lived in Lorain and Hampshire, TN before settling in Wellington.

An electrical engineer, Mike worked at G.M. and Nordson, retiring in the late 1990s. Mike was very smart and enjoyed tinkering and inventing gadgets.

He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Wendling; grandchildren, Breanna and Aidan; great granddaughter, Paige; another great grandchild on the way and his siblings, Pat Gruen, of FL; Pete Wendling, of TN, and Dan Wendling, of Wellington. Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Brennan; wife, Susan Wendling; and brother, Tim Wendling.
