Mildred F. Puder, 81, of Wellington and formerly of Clarksfield, died Sunday, February 6, 2022 at New Life Hospice in Lorain. Mildred was born March 18, 1940 in Elyria to the late Gordon and Frances (nee Smith) Brooks. She grew up in the Clarksfield area.
Mildred worked many years at C.E. Ward, Regalia, and Thomas Creative Apparel in New London. Mildred liked quilting, sewing, and crafting. She also enjoyed bingo, word puzzles, cards, and board games and had a love for Elvis collectibles. She treasured spending time with her family and friends.
Mildred is survived by her children, Carey (Brenda) Draper, of Wakeman and Cheryl (Jerry) McPeek, of Avon Lake; 3 grandchildren, Andrea Draper, of Wakeman, Arielle Draper, of Norwalk, and Kyla (John) Guzell, of North Ridgeville; 6 great granddaughters, Kadence, Savannah, Haley, Kaylynn, Cassie and Jayna; her siblings, Arthur (Donna) Brooks, of Medina, Phyllis (Dan) Kuzniar, of Lorain, Eileen (Charles) Skidmore, of Elyria and Elaine (Doug) Shough, of Florida, and brother-in-law, Art Wilms, of Columbia Station. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Wayne Puder and her sister, Judy Wilms.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 11 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. Funeral Service at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. Burial will follow at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery. Charitable contributions in Mildred's memory can be made to the donor's choice of charity.
