Mildred Irene Rollin

Mildred I. Rollin, 93, died under hospice care on October 26, 2026, at Brethren Care Village in Ashland. Born on July 28, 1933, in Norwalk to parents Oscar and Irene (nee Hahler) Ott, Mildred grew up in Norwalk and graduated from St. Paul Catholic High School in 1951. Her adult life was spent in southern Lorain County.

For many years, Mildred worked for Dr. Kimmel and Dr. Thomas in the office. She was a member of the Grange and the Historical Society. She enjoyed gardening and traveling in her RV with Burt. Most recently, Mildred had attended St. Patrick Catholic Parish in Wellington.

She is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Raul) Sarzosa, of Wooster, and Debra (Bill) Freshwater, of Ashland; stepchildren, Donna (Charles) Mielke, Barb (Howard) Quast, and Russ (Becky) Rollin; 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Mildred is also survived by her brothers, Paul (Evelyn) Ott, of North Fairfield, Marvin (Andi) Ott, of Norwalk, Richard Ott, of Willard, and Clayton (Mary) Ott, of Norwalk. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Keith Green; her second husband, Burt Rollin; sister, Dorothy Ott; brother, Lynn Ott; stepson, Allen Rollin and granddaughter, Jessica Quast.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Parish, 512 N. Main St., Wellington. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Norwalk.
