Minerva D Holbrook (nee Wiley), 89, of Amherst, went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2024.  She was born on October 2, 1934 in Little Harts Creek, West Virginia.

Beloved wife of 64 years to John Marrell Holbrook who preceded her in death; loving mother to Mary Jane (Wayne) Whyte, Kathy (Dale) Barris, and Carolyn (Mahmoud deceased) Abouelhana; cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Brittnee, Kendra, Lauren and Alex; adoring great-grandmother of Madeleine, Travis, Wiley and Rieser; loving sister of Rev. Oswald (Drema deceased) Wiley, Sarah (Jimmie deceased) Baker, Velma (Michael) Dylag, and Linda (Victor) Dent; preceded in death by six other brothers and sisters.

She was a work at home mom but also was a part time beautician and went to assisted living facilities helping residents with their styling needs.  A woman of great faith and devotion and member of Wellington Free Will Baptist Church since 1991, along with her beloved husband until his death.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 5, from 7 – 9 PM at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, OH 44090.  Services will be on Saturday, January 6, at 10:00 AM at the Wellington Free Will Baptist Church, 205 Woodland St., Wellington, OH 44090 with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 3700 Center Rd., Avon, OH 44011.
