Obituary

Molly J. Adams, 69, died September 25, 2009 at her home following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Adams was born June 28, 1940, the daughter of the late Vernice and Carroll Wight. Molly was born and raised in Wellington and was a 1958 Wellington High School graduate. Mrs. Adams was a STNA who worked as the Admissions/Discharge planner at the Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin. She also served as a Mentor through the REM program and Murray Ridge, working with the developmentally disabled throughout the area. Molly was an active member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Wellington. She was involved with many organizations including various literary clubs, Town and Country, the Wellington Women's League, and the Friendship Guild. Molly's interests included boating, swimming, listening to classical music, shopping, and traveling. She also loved her cats and dogs. Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband of 15 years, Pastor Philip Kunz; three sons, Jeffery C. , Matthew W., and Christopher J. Adams; a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. James L. and Barbara Wight, all of Wellington. Molly was preceded in death by her eldest son, Michael Adams. Friends may call Tuesday, September 29 from 5-9 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 140 South Main St., Wellington, where a Memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 30 at 11am. Rev. Brian Burke will officiate. A private family burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Molly and Michael Adams Memorial Scholarship Fund, Farmers Savings Bank, P.O. Box 438, Wellington, Ohio 44090.
