Darrell L. Jackson died on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at UH Ashland Samaritan Medical Center. Born January 16, 1950, in New London, he graduated from New London High School in 1968. MSgt Jackson served proudly on active duty in the United States Air Force after graduation from 1968 until his retirement in 1988.

After retiring from the Air Force, Darrell returned to New London, Ohio and worked for Berry Plastics in Monroeville for many years.

He was a member of the American Legion in New London and the adoring husband of Rosie (Meade). Darrell was happiest when he was with his Rosie and cherished the years they spent together until her death in 2022.

Survivors include Darrell's siblings, Diane (Jerry) Randleman of New London, Darwin (Lynna) Jackson of Vermont, Debbie (Mike) Donelson of Texas, DeLee Rogers of Akron, and Dawn Jackson Cook of New London;as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Darrell will also be missed by members of his wife Rosie's family.

In addition to his beloved wife Rosie, Darrell was also preceded in death by his parents, Dean P. and Dorothy L. (Fultz) Jackson; a brother, Daniel Jackson; and a niece, Aubrey Cook.

Per Darrell's wishes, he will be interred alongside his wife at Fitchville Cemetery in a private ceremony. The Eastman Funeral Home in New London is honored to assist the family with their arrangements.
