Obituary

Nancy L. Berger, 74, of Brighton, died Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the Cleveland Clinic with her family by her bedside. She was born January 6, 1935 in Amherst, to the late Alex and Norma (nee Hastings) Bruce. Nancy attended South Amherst High School and moved to Brighton in 1968. Nancy's main occupation was a homemaker, but she worked for Forest City in Wellington during the 1970s. She enjoyed crocheting and sitting by the pond watching birds and other wildlife. She is survived by her husband, Clifford J. Berger, whom she married May 8, 1954; her daughter, Wendy (Dale) Greathouse of Brighton; her son, Scott Berger of Brighton; 4 grandchildren, Simone (Gar) Cole of Wellington, Shea Greathouse of Brighton, Teri (Jason) Tanner of New London, John Berger of Red Haw; 3 great grandchildren, Ryleigh Cole of Wellington, Alexander and Andrew Tanner of Wellington. Nancy is also survived by 2 sisters, Bonnie Oates and Sandra (Alex) Moran, all of Elyria; a brother, Bradley Bruce of Louisiana and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Bruce. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials, if desired, may be given to the donors favorite charity. Arrangements were entrusted to Norton ' Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St., Wellington.
