Obituary

Nancy Dee Morgan, age 89, of Berlin Heights, and formerly of Norwalk, died peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Laurels of New London. Born September 6, 1934, in Norwalk, to Clifford A. and Vivienne J. (Pebworth) Ellis, she was a 1953 graduate of Norwalk High School.

A proud member and past president of the New London American Legion Auxiliary, she was also a member of Milan Presbyterian Church. Nancy enjoyed needlepoint, maintaining beautiful flower gardens, and reading in her spare time. However, the most important thing to Nancy was her family. She was an amazing wife and doting mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and even great-great-grandmother who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many.

Left to cherish Nancy's memory are her children, David Morgan, Cheryl (Ron) Crawford, Kenneth (Tammy) Morgan, Martha (John) Scott, and Lisa (Jeff) Smith; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Clifford Ellis Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray D. Morgan, whom she wed on August 9, 1954; a son, Jonathan Morgan; granddaughter, Suzanna Crawford; and brothers, Robert and Erle Ellis.

A private burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with their arrangements.
