Nancy Mae Oney

Nancy Mae Oney, 80, of Shelby, passed away on May 22, 2026, at Avita Health in Ontario. Nancy was born on September 1, 1945, to the late Frank and Canzie (Van Dyke) Conley in Lucasville, Ohio.

Nancy was known for her compassionate and generous heart. She was always eager to help those in need and was often the first to volunteer. Nancy deeply loved her family and cherished spending time with them at family dinners and movie nights. She mastered the art of crocheting and found great joy in creating beautiful new pieces. She also enjoyed playing games on the computer and loved to find new games to play and beat.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Bob) Stephens; her grandchildren, David Glen Salmon and Kristina Cherry; her great grandchildren, Kennedy Cherry and Griffith Salmon; nephew, Kermit (Nancy) Rowe.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Frank and Canzie (Van Dyke) Conley; her husband, David D. Oney; and son, Dale Justin Oney.
