Nancy L. Straka, 69, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by loving family. She was born on July 29, 1955, in Norwalk, to the late Winfred and Maria (Bukzspan) Rupp. She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1973.

Nancy was selfless, giving and supportive. She made helping others before helping herself a priority in her life. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed following their extracurricular activities. She was an avid sports fan and loved to watch professional wrestling with her sons. She was a member of the Norwalk V.F.W. Post 2743, Norwalk Eagles Club 711, and American Legion Post 41. She had worked at Norstat for many years and also the Arthur Corporation. In more recent years after her retirement she was a caregiver and driver for people with special needs.

Nancy is survived by her children, Larry (Kristal) Straka, Mark Straka Jr., E.J. (Anna) Straka, and David Straka; grandchildren, John, Tori, Tim, Ella, and Olivia; brother, Michael (Diane) Rupp; sister, Ruth (David) Furyes; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Straka Sr., in 2015, an infant sister, Irma and infant granddaughter, Zoe.

Friends and family are invited to her visitation on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W.
