Nancy Jean Schaffer, 86, of Monroeville, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 20, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born on February 22, 1937, to Charles and Marie Zimmer and raised in Milan, OH. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Nancy was employed at Fanny Farmer Candy Factory. Most important to Nancy was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lawrence "Tony" Schaffer; children, Mike Schaffer, Patty (Mark) Bores, Sue (John) Burrow, Chuck (Judy Garden) Schaffer, Bob Schaffer, Jim (Kris) Schaffer, Dan (Lisa) Schaffer; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way; brother, Eldon (Janet) Zimmer and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and John Zimmer.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk, OH 44857. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
