Nathan Dennis Bailey Jr., 78, of Shiloh, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 3, 1947, in Shelby, Ohio, to Nathan Dennis Bailey Sr. and Mary Opal (Grim) Bailey.

A lifelong resident of the Shiloh area, Dennis graduated from Plymouth High School in 1966. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1968 to 1969. He began his working career with Plymouth Locomotive, where he dedicated many years to the company. In 2002, Dennis co-founded Plymouth Locomotive Services where he worked until his retirement in 2013. Dennis was also an active member of American Legion Post #503 in Shiloh.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (Hale) Bailey; his sons, Michael R. (Allison) Bailey, Bryon J. (Connie) Bailey, and Nathan Dennis Bailey III; his stepchildren, Brett (Arlene) Music and Penny Music; his grandchildren, Hunter, Seth, Autumn, Shawn, Caylinn, Maddex, and Jordan; his step-grandchildren, Walker, Bradyn, Meagan, Garrett, Dakota and Gavin; two great-grandchildren, Barrett and Eliza; and his siblings, Jane Wagers, Charlotte (Phil) Bruner, and Golda Sue Hutson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan Dennis Bailey Sr. and Mary Opal (Grim) Bailey.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich, Ohio. Following the visitation, a graveside service with military honors will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery.
