Eastman Funeral Home 419.929.3781 Nathan S. Myers, a lifelong resident of the New London area passed away February 12, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 82. Nathan was born November 5, 1933 in Rochester, son to the late Frank and Winifred (Farnsworth) Myers. Nathan was a hard worker. He had worked at E. Bigelow Tile for 18 years. He also spent time at Ohio Body, New London Tile, Cedar Point and McDonald's in New London where he was affectionately known by many as "the fry guy". He was a man with a big heart. Often mowing people's lawns or using other opportunities to take care of, and help others. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He liked to "go for a drive" every now and again, wherever the road would take him. Nathan especially cherished time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and he made many wonderful memories with them. He is survived by his children, Nathan L. (Joyce) Myers of New London, Lynnette (Robert) Carroll of New London and Jennifer (Shawn) Frost of Wakeman; 5 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 14 step great grandchildren and sister, Rilla Mobberly of New London. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; sister, Barbara Johnson and brother, Dale Myers. The family will greet friends at Eastman Funeral Home, New London on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm. A service will be held on Tuesday February 16, 2016 at 11 am with Pastor Bob Hudberg officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Street Cemetery, New London.
