Nathan Thomas Risner, 36, of Greenwich, died Sunday morning, October 16, 2011 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born November 6, 1974 in Oberlin. Nathan was raised in Toledo, lived in Greenwich, Texas, Lorain County and moved back to Greenwich 10 years ago. He was a 1993 graduate of South Central High School, Greenwich. Nathan worked for Risner Dry Wall and most recently for Carter Lumber for several years. He was involved with the Lutheran Church in Homerville. Nathan was a dedicated family man with a heart of gold. He loved his Cleveland Browns.
Survived by his wife of 11 years, Amber (Hisey) Risner; son, Zachary Nicholas Risner at home; mother, Karen Villegas of Elyria; father, Robert L. Risner of Greenwich; goddaughter, Sophia Villegas of Elyria; siblings, Nichole Villegas and Danny Villegas both of Elyria; nephew, Nicholas Villegas of LaGrange; grandfather, Alger Risner of Greenwich; mother and father-in-law, Bonnie and James Hisey of Homerville; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Nicholas Villegas.
Friends may call from 2'4 and 6'8 p.m. Thursday, October 20th at the Ripley Church, 4130 South Edwards Rd., Greenwich where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday with Pastor Bob Hudberg and Pastor Steven Hisey officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be given to the family in care of Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich.
