Naomi Stearns, age 89, died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Wedgewood Estates in Mansfield. Born in Huntington on April 16, 1919 to the late Herbert and Myrtle Hawley, Naomi lived in both Wellington and North Ridgeville before settling at Wedgewood Estates ten years ago. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. Naomi is survived by her daughter, Ellen (Kenneth) Jones of Mansfield; two granddaughters, Hilary (John) Vaughn of Columbus and Heather (Jim) Cavalieri of Portland, Oregon; and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Jack Vaughn. She is also survived by her sisters, Martha Waters of Norwalk and Margaret Adkins of Eugene, Oregon. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, John Stearns in 1996 and two brothers, Gerald and Howard Hawley. A graveside service will held Friday, August 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington with Rev. David Root officiating.
