Nicole "Niki" James Fertig, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2020, at the age of 30.  She was born on October 31, 1989 in Norwalk to James (Michelle) Fertig and Missy (Jon Sugaski) Estep.  Niki attended Norwalk High School and EHOVE where she took courses to be an STNA.

Niki will be remembered for her sense of humor and love of music, especially KISS and the Grateful Dead.

She is survived by her children, Logen Taylor of Huron and Layne Fertig of Norwalk; sisters, Jacki (Kevin) Rohr and Kandi Hardy of Norwalk and Jena and Abbigail Fertig of Wakeman; brothers, Lucas and Dawson Fertig of Wakeman; grandmother, Sharon Thompson; aunts and uncles, Jessica (Tony) Salvatore, Shannon Graham, Sherry (Mark) Censi, Betty (Kevin) Hall and Chuck (Lori) Estep.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Betty Estep; paternal grandmother, Helen Takacs, and aunt, Joanne Oney.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, from 2 P.M. until the time of the 4 P.M. service with Pastor Rod Hollen officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be expressed by visiting www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com
