Nina Hayes, 91, of Lagrange, died Saturday, March 31. She was born on December 9, 1920 to the late Frank and Molly Dovich in Cleveland. Nina graduated from Collinwood High School.
Nina worked as a buyer for Higbee's. She retired at age 90 from TJ Max after over 25 years of service. Nina was a talented seamstress who enjoyed quilting and making wedding dresses. She also liked to bake and make wedding cakes. Nina cherished time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nina is survived by her daughter Nina (Douglas Dobson) Willis of Wellington, grandchildren, Shawn Willis, Tristina Eck, Dawn Resar, and Rita Wacker, great-grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Kayla, Jonathan, James, Angela, Ally, Owen and Grant, and great-great-grandson Braison and one more on the way. She is also survived by siblings Frank Dovich and Dorothy Trunkley. Nina was preceded in death by her husbands George Moorman and Michael Hayes, siblings, Carl, Catherine, and Marie.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, April 3, from 5-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main, Wellington. A private family graveside will be held at a later date at Penfield Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers may be directed to a charity of the donors choice.
