Obituary

Noah Hunter, 86, of Sandusky, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, November 30, 2023.  Our Beloved Noah was born March 26, 1937, in Garrett, Kentucky.  In the 1950's Noah relocated his family to Clarksfield, Ohio where he built a home from the ground up with some help from neighbors and family at the young age of 22.  He was a hard worker and a good provider for his family.  He retired from the Village of Wellington Utilities where he worked for more than 30 years.

As a jack of all trades, there was not anything he could not do.  He was humble, kind and a pillar of strength to all.  He deeply cared for others and spoke directly from his heart giving you his honest opinion at all times.  He loved life and people. He would quickly become a friend to all who he met with his southern charm and infectious smile.

His hobbies were playing cards, fishing, hunting, playing with his backhoe, attending flea markets, repairing cars and lawn mowers and tinker in his garage on small projects.  His favorite time of year was Christmas as he played Santa for the little ones at "Aunt" Donnas every Christmas. He truly loved the meaning and spirit of family.

Noah is survived by five children, Eugene Hunter, Geneva Hunter, Janette Howard, Caroline Hunter Tokar, Donna (Isidro) Garcia.  He is also survived by several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren.  Brothers; Holley Hunter, Jackie Hunter and Christopher (Karen) Hunter.  Sisters; Alice (Bill) Cooper, Janie Osborne, Dora Ellen Boyd and Sally DeVoogd.  Also, Shalon Rae Raab and Scott Joseph Steele, children of his long-term companion Janice Steele.

Noah is preceded in death by his parents, Dollie and Emery Hunter, former wife, Maglene Hunter and a longtime companion Janice Steele, Brothers Lewis Hunter, Clovis Hunter and Kermit Hunter and five sisters; Jacqueline Traylor, Maudie Tatro, Lillie Mae Thornsberry, Marie Harvey and Imogene Hunter.
