Obituary

Preceded in death by mother, Anna Robbins, father, Fred Robbins, sister, Doris Bartley; brothers, Don and Carl Robbins; husband, Gene Funk; daughter, Ann Robbins; son, Gene (Sonny) Funk; granddaughter, Erin Staschke and son-in-law, Scott Staschke. Survived by daughters, Sally Staschke and Nancy (Frank) Metzler; sons, Steve (Joan) Funk and Tom (Becky) Funk; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; many lifelong friends, neighbors and staff at the Laurels. She will be missed by all that knew her. Born in Heartland Township, graduate of NLHS and an active lifelong resident of New London after her marriage in 1939. Nona enjoyed gardening, was a wonderful cook, loyal friend and devoted mother and wife. A loyal supporter of NLHS and the Alumni. Avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Football. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, September 25th from 2-5 pm at Eastman Funeral Home, New London. A private graveside service will be held at Grove Street Cemetery, New London.
