Norma Jane Puder, of Clarksfield, passed away March 22, 2017 at Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk. She was 88. She was born October 17, 1928 in Greenwich, daughter of the late Monroe and Olive Underwood. Norma graduated from New London High School in 1946 and worked for Ohio Body until they closed. She decided to go to nursing school and then worked as an LPN for Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. Norma's greatest joy was being a family caretaker; she cared for her parents to her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and the outdoors. She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Thomas) Roberts, of Berlin Heights and Carl Puder, of Clarksfield; grandchildren, Timothy (Micah) Roberts, David (Heather) Roberts, Julianne (Nicholas) Douce, Carrie (Ben) Lindsey, Charles Puder, Cory Puder and Curtis Puder; 7 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Ruth Underwood. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" in 2000 and brother, Robert Underwood. Visitation will be held on March 28, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the start of the 12 p.m. service at Eastman Funeral Home in New London with Pastor Doug Lang officiating.
