Norma J. West, age 72, of Wellington died Monday, November 5, 2007 at Gaymont Nursing Home in Norwalk. She was born in Wellington on March 30, 1935; the daughter of the late Emerson and Pearl (Davidson) Brown and was a graduate of Wellington High School. Norma worked at the Elms Retirement Village for 38 years as a hairdresser. She also worked at McDonald's in Wellington. Norma was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wellington. She enjoyed crafts and painting and was a seamstress who created many Halloween costumes over the years. Survivors include her two children, Renee Sears and Brian West, both of Wellington; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Norma is also survived by 2 sisters, Anita McKenna of Elyria, and Elsa Howman of Galion. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy West, and two brothers, Richard and David Brown. Friends may call from 9 ' 11 am on Thursday, November 8 at the First Baptist Church of Wellington, 125 Grand Ave., where funeral services will be held at 11 am with Rev. Thomas Alexander officiating.
