Norman R. Chandler, 68, of Fitchville, Ohio died on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Marion General Hospital.  He was born on June 7, 1952 in Norwalk, Ohio, the son of Vivian (Wells) and Elmer Chandler.

Norman was a 1971 graduate of New London High School.  He studied welding at Ehove, however farming was his life.  A member of the New London FFA, Norman helped on the family farm since he was a young boy. He especially enjoyed dairy farming and the peace he found working in the fields. His sons liked to affectionately call him an "Agricultural Engineer" which he got a kick out of.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, The Farm Bureau and the Western Reserve Young Farmers. Norman enjoyed cars and car shows.  He owned a snowmobile and loved to go fast. He was especially proud of his truck.

Survivors include his children, April Oney Chandler, Erin Chandler, Kevin Chandler and Ryan Chandler; grandchildren, Daylin Oney, Dakota Croy and Aurora Chandler; siblings, Kathleen (John) Vonkamp, Arthur Chandler and David (Jane) Chandler.

In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by a cousin who was like a brother, Carl Chandler.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St. New London, OH 44851.  A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m.,  Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, 18 Park Ave. New London.  Those attending are asked to wear a mask and practice all social distancing guidelines.  Memorial donations may be directed to the New London FFA, 1 Wildcat Drive, New London, OH 44851.  Online condolences may be shared at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
