Norman L. Parlett, age 61, of Greenwich, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 in Bellevue.
He was born November, 26, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Ora and Margaret (Hayden) Parlett. He had lived in North Fairfield, Shiloh, Fitchville and had been a resident of Greenwich for 32 years. Mr. Parlett served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1968 ' 1970. He had worked at Central Plastics in Greenwich for several years in the 1970's and at Pioneer Rubber Co. in Willard until the early 1990's. He enjoyed cars and car shows, collecting cars and going to flea markets.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Parlett; his son, Rodney Parlett; a granddaughter, Marissa Parlett, 2 grandsons, Jacob and Darik Parlett; 3 brothers, Tony, Jim and Ora Parlett, a sister, Mary Oney; sister in law and brother in law, Brenda and Rick Whiteside, his mother in law, Irene Sallee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Parlett, a brother, John Parlett and a sister, Shirley Parlett.
Friends may call from 3 ' 6 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14 with Pastor Mark Wireman officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
