Norman Harold Storrow, 83, died Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the Elms Retirement Village in Wellington. Son of the late Lynn and Mildred (nee Johnson) Storrow, Norman was born in Wellington on December 13, 1928. He was a lifelong Wellington resident and graduated from Brighton High School in 1948. Following graduation, Norman served in the Army during Operation Castle in the Marshall Islands.
Norman worked as a truck driver in the capacity of owner/operator. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wellington and the Wakeman Gibson Masonic Lodge. Norman will be remembered as a hard worker who enjoyed camping with his family and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marvelle (nee Baker); children, Robert 'Bob' (Marie), of Wellington, William 'Bill' (Rochelle), of Mansfield, and Donna Storrow, of Wellington; grandchildren, Holly Storrow, Kristen Peterson and Lacey Varga and a great grandson, Bryson Peterson. Norman is also survived by siblings, Max (Nancy) Storrow and Patsy Jo Anderson, all of Wellington and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, Frank, Lois, Don, Jeanie, and LaRue.
Visitation will be Monday, June 4 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with Masonic Services at 7:45 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, Wellington, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Lea Mahan officiating. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery with military rites.
