Orvil Lee Westfall, 73, of New London, died April 1, 2013 at his home. He was born on June 25, 1939, in Webster Springs, WV, son of the late Lorenza and Ella (Case) Westfall. He retired in 1982 from the maintenance department of Oberlin College. Orvil was a life member of the Fitchville Conservation League and the NRA. He was also a member of the FOP. Orvil loved to spend his spare time fishing. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Marie A. Westfall; daughter, Sharon (David) West of Huron; sons, Terry (Cheryl) Westfall of Dunlap, TN, Gary (Kathy) Westfall of Berlin Heights, Orvil Westfall Jr (Tina) of PA and Lawrence Westfall of New London; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter on the way; brothers, Bill (Louise) Westfall and Junior Westfall and sister, Opal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Girtie (Joe) Lough and Pearl (Frank) Davis and brothers, Hurley (Juanita) Westfall, Cecil (Betty) Westfall and Bobby (Edith) Westfall. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London where a service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Doug Lang officiating. Burial will follow in Fitchville Cemetery.
