Orville Dean Nance, 78, of Wellington, died Friday, February 10, 2017 at University Hospital EMH in Elyria. Born on June 29, 1938 in Estill KY, he was the son of the late Eugene and Opal (nee Owsley) Nance. Orville and his family moved to Wellington when he was 14 and he graduated from Wellington High School in 1958. Orville worked for the Ford Motor Co. and retired as a quality inspector after 33 years. For Many years he worked third shift and enjoyed inviting all his work friends back to the house for all night card games. Orville found great joy in caring for well manicured lawn. He enjoyed traveling and camping, and the family will always remember the vacations they took to Florida. Most of all Orville cherished time spent with his children and grandkids. Survivors include his children Dennis Nance, Brenda (Jeff) Cole, and Missy (David) Skinner, all of Wellington; grandchildren Jeremy Nance, Jason Sharp, Josh Cole, Jamie Leiby, Joslyn Orsik, Justin Skinner, and Jayden Skinner; and 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way. Orville was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Edith (nee Mull) Nance; and siblings Lois Sikora and James Nance. Friends and family will be received on Monday, February 13, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St, Wellington, 44090. Services will be on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. at the Pittsfield Community Church, 17026 St. Rt. 58, Pastor Jonathan Cheatem will officiate and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
