Eastman Funeral Home 419.929.3781 Oscar "Sheldon" Parsons, 72, of New London, passed away on December 10, 2018 at the Laurels of New London. He was born on March 12, 1946 in Pike County, Kentucky to the late Graden and Jane (nee Case) Parsons. Sheldon was an accomplished interior designer and floral designer, who also flipped million dollar homes and traveled the world extensively. He had lived in Pikeville, Kentucky and had attended school in New London, before living in Palm Springs, California; Dallas, Texas; Naples, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Atlanta, Georgia to name a few places. He had also spent many months overseas in Paris and England, returning only recently to New London where he passed peacefully. Sheldon never married, but he loved his family and treated his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children. He is survived by his nephews, Rick (Linda) Hamilton, Mike Hamilton, Bobby (Kari) Steele; nieces, Geora Jean (Perry) Lester, Sonja Gore, Renee (Dale) Lester; and sister, Fatima Steele of Greenwich, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings and nephew Randy Hamilton Sr. A private memorial service is being planned for a later date.
