Patricia Lynn Ables, 66, of Oberlin, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on June 22, 1952 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Alice (nee Abramovitz) and Jean Mokris. Patricia grew up in Cleveland and later moved to North Ridgeville before moving to the Kipton area. Patricia had worked as a Paraprofessional for Murray Ridge schools and most recently for Wellington Schools at both McCormick Middle School and Westwood Elementary. She enjoyed boating, tending to her flowers and garden, taking camping trips to Kentucky, and her beloved pets. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and family. She was a treasured friend to many and was well known to always have a listening ear. She leaves behind her loving husband of 43 years, Jimmie Ables; children, Victoria Bauder, David Ables, both of Elyria, Patrick (Michelle) Murray, of Paynesville; grandchildren, Sophia, Meghan, Desirea, Haylee, Zachary, Christopher, Justin, Shelby, Olivia, Grace and Emma; siblings, Kathleen Johnson, Cheryl Weiss and Timothy Mokris. Family and friends will gather on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 4-7pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main Street, Wellington where a memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm.
