Obituary

Patricia Ellen Fenwick, 66, of New London, entered into God's loving care on June 8, 2025. She was born on June 5, 1959, in Cleveland, she was lovingly adopted and raised in Clarksfield by her parents Philip and Alma LaRue (nee Radcliffe) Bursley. Patti, as she was known by most, was a 1977 graduate of New London High School and lived most of her life in the Clarksfield area.

Patti's lifelong mission was to serve others as Jesus did, with compassion, selflessness, and love. Her deepest desire was for everyone to know the love and grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ. With the heart of a true servant and a fervent devotion to her faith, Patti poured her life into ministry, especially to youth and fellow women.

Though she spent a brief time working in home care for the elderly, her greatest impact was through her active involvement in ministry. Over the years, she served faithfully in several churches, including New London Alliance Church, Heartland Center Community Church, and Ashland First Presbyterian Church. Patti generously gave her time to women's ministries, prayer groups, and youth programs. She started Refuge, a program for at-risk middle schoolers, and Baby Steps, a support program for pregnant teens. Recently she spent time with the Chinese church and the Prayer Room. In everything she did, Patti lived to reflect the love of God and to help others experience the hope found in Jesus.

Patti's greatest joy was her family. She held dear the lively Bursley family reunions from her childhood, memories that stayed with her always. Her love for her children and grandchildren ran deep. She treasured every moment with her grandkids, whether it be cheering at their events, giving treats, or just being by their side. Patti never missed a chance to show how deeply proud she was of them.

Patti was a creative soul with a passion for painting, photography, and music, especially singing. She enjoyed sharing her photography talents, capturing cherished memories at family gatherings, weddings, newborn sessions, and graduations, often for little or no cost. Her generosity extended to crafting heartfelt gifts with her crocheted pieces, painted artwork, and beautifully handmade cards. Patti cherished every moment spent with friends, both old and new. She was an excellent baker often showing her love with delicious treats. She also found great joy in traveling whether it was to visit friends in Tennessee and Florida or exploring Amish country with her husband.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Fenwick; daughters, Andrea (Dan) Lukas, of Stow, and Amelia Fenwick, of Ashland; grandchildren, Addi, Kaleb, Elli, and Mackenna; brother, Paul (Sheila) Bursley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and LaRue Bursley; granddaughters, Gabriella Hope and Lily Rose Lukas; and her beloved dog, Sophie.

Friends and Family will be received on Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 11 a.m. at Eastman Funeral home in New London. A private burial will follow at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery. Patti wished for her funeral to be a joyful celebration of her homecoming to her Savior, and we invite you to join us in wearing bright colors or her favorite, pink, to honor her.
