Patricia L. Ruggles, 72, of New London, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk. She was born November 26, 1940, to the late Raymond and Lucille (Livermore) Worcester in Norwalk. Pat grew up in Willard, graduated from Willard High School and lived in the New London and Fitchville area most of her life. Pat cherished her grandchildren, and never missed an opportunity to provide them with snacks and treats. Pat also enjoyed cooking for family and the Salvation Army, sewing and quilting. Survived by a daughter, Terrie (Steve) Yeager; sons, Randy (Karen) Ruggles, David (Suzanne) Ruggles and Jim (Michelle) Ruggles; grandchildren, Tim (Sadana) Cornell, Kenny (Ashley) Cornell, Angie (Tyson) Lamielle, Creighton (Chelle) Ruggles, Abigail (Steven) Fawcett, Alayna Ruggles, Jeremy Ruggles, Keith Ruggles, Tyler Ruggles, Ben Ruggles, Hanna Ruggles, Jenna Ruggles, Keaton Ruggles and Connor Ruggles; 9 great grandchildren and 9 siblings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Edward Ruggles and siblings, Russell, Gerry, Marie, Betty and Richard. Pat's family will greet friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 18 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London where a service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Bob Hudberg officiating.
