Patricia M. Smith, 83, of Greenwich, died Saturday, February 2, 2019. Born on May 3, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Harry and Edna (nee Lindsey) Hoose. Patricia live in the Greenwich area most of her life and was a 1954 graduate of Willard High School. Patricia was a member of the Ripley church. She helped to organize the first girls softball team in the area and served as a 4-H advisor for several years. Patricia volunteered with the library as a story hour reader, and was a Girl Scout troop leader, where she also served as a trainer. Survivors include her children Kevin Smith, of Greenwich, Brian Smith, of Norwalk, and Jennifer Atherton, of Greenwich; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brothers David and William Hoose. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Roy Smith, siblings George, Charles, Thomas, and Shirley, Theresa, jean, and Jim. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, February 7, from 10 a.m. until the start of services at 11 a.m. at the Ripley Church, 4130 Edwards Road, Greenwich, Burial will follow at Greenlawn cemetery.
