Patricia D. Vogt, 80, of Collins, passed away on April 27, 2026, surrounded by her family at Kingston of Vermilion. She was born on September 13, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Wilbert and Florence Cooley (née Auxier) Sr.
Patricia was a 1963 graduate of Berlin Heights High School. On May 7, 1966, she married the love of her life, Edward Vogt Sr., at Collins Methodist Church. She worked for many years as a clerk at Agway in Huron before retiring from Columbia Gas in Norwalk.
A devoted member of Collins Methodist Church, Patricia gave generously of her time and talents. She spent countless hours volunteering, whether teaching Sunday School or preparing meals for church gatherings. Patricia found great joy in life’s simple pleasures especially spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Daisy. She loved preparing holiday meals, vacationing in Duck, North Carolina, and creating lasting memories while camping with family and friends. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Guardians and a lifelong admirer of Elvis Presley.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Vogt Sr., of Collins; her sons, Edward Vogt Jr. of Willard, Brian (Christine) Vogt of Wakeman; her grandchildren, Jessalyn Vogt of Huron, and Bradley Vogt of Norwalk; her siblings, Sue (Fred) Nottke of Huron, and Wilbert Cooley Jr. of Wakeman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Florence Cooley Sr.; her grandson, Jaydon Reed Vogt; and two infant grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Hartland Ridge Cemetery, Derussey Road, Collins, on Friday, May 1, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made in Patricia’s memory can be directed to Collins Methodist Church.
